What is rising stem gate valve?

Rising-stem valves are those valve designs that are operated by pushing or pulling the valve stem. The valve stems do not rotate, thus the valve stems are threaded and matched to a stem nut that converts the rotational output motion of the motor actuator to linear movement of the valve stem.

Advantages of rising stem gate valve:

1. The fluid resistance is small,
2. the sealing surface is less eroded and corroded by the medium.
3. It saves effort to open and close.
4. The flow direction of the medium is not restricted, does not disturb the flow, and does not reduce the pressure
